| The Credit System |
ACTS follows the Credit system for its programs. For residential programs, each credit amounts to 16 class hours consisting of 50 minutes and 32 hours of research. Thus, a four-credit course involves 64 hours of class room study and 128 hours of research. In distance education each credit amounts to 30 hours of study including all learning activities. Thus, a three-credit course involves 90 hours of study. This helps the student to understand the academic efforts one has to put in, in order to successfully complete a course.
|
| Field Education |
Field education assists students to learn about the practice of ministry through direct involvement in the assembly assigned, under the direction of the Academic Dean. Students are required to complete a specified period of planned, supervised, and evaluated field education in a setting approved by the Academic Dean.
